This week on the Uhills Business Spotlight, I’d like to introduce to you a business that seemed like such a “no brainer” when I heard it. Denver Date Nite.

This business is such a necessity in our busy lives. Everyone has had the “argument” over where to eat or where to go on a date. And then what happens 90% of the time? You settle on the same places you’ve been, and ordering the same things you’ve always ordered. Not anymore! Welcome to Denver Date Nite, where planning what to do not only just got easier, but exciting! You guessed it, in just a few clicks you’re night will be planned with awesome new experiences that you probably didn’t even know existed! The Story and the “Why” behind Denver Date Nite…..

What is the story behind your business? How did you know it was something you wanted to pursue?

Well, it started from necessity. We have our kids back to back. On the rare occasions that we did have a date night it was always this wild rush just to get out the door where we would both collapse in the car and argue about who had to pick what we were going to do. Then we found ourselves at the same places ordering the same meals. I wanted to get that feeling back that we had in the beginning. So, I started looking up more fun and off beat places for us to explore. Then friends starting tagging along. Next thing I knew a light bulb went off and the idea was born.

Tell me about your business – what you do and what makes it special? 

We curate customized and unique date experiences for couples. Our clients set the parameters for what they’re looking for (budget, vibe, etc) and we connect them with their perfect date. We work with our vendors to ensure our clients get VIP treatment and more specialized experiences. We get you in the kitchen with the chef, connect you with private distillery tours, sip champagne while you create truffles together, create resin cheeseboards. With over 1,000 locations in our database we will find that perfect date for you.

What is your favorite part about running your own business?

The freedom of self employment and building something that is uniquely our vision.

You’re based out of University Hills, what do you love best about this community?

The neighbors. I swear there is no block like mine. When one family migrates out front to play it somehow always spirals into everyone out front playing lawn games, sharing a grill, sipping beers. I can never leave.

Is there anything else you’d like your neighbors to know about you or your business?

Oh wow, so much. I don’t think I can accurately describe how amazing it is to have an experience that you’re both looking forward to with none of the “You pick. No, YOU pick” back and forth. I promise it will be one of the best dates you’ve had in a long time.
